Despite installing the RAM into the DIMM slots. You need to place them in the corresponding place where the mother board manual tells you to place them. Most of the time you will place them in the second and fourth slot away from the CPU socket.
The sockets on the mother board will have a lever at the end of both ends of the DIMM slots. Lower the levers then insert the RAM boards and press down firmly with your thumbs at both ends. If done correctly the boards should click into it respective places.
